Flotsam & Jetsam-update

Flotsam & Jetsam begint het nieuwe jaar goed: op 2 januari 2005 gaan de muzikanten de studio in om een nieuw album op te nemen. Dat meldt drummer Craig Nielsen op de website van de groep.
"At long last, we start the record on January 2, after a series of delays, some to do with the band and some to do with the label. We are very recharged and ready to do a great Flotsam record."
Hoewel deze plannen nu eindelijk doorgang vinden, moet de groep het idee om te touren met Metal Church laten varen. Nielsen is ronduit teleurgesteld in de boekingsorganisaties:
"Bad news for the Flotsam/Metal Church tour. The story has changed at least five times from the three different agencies involved, so I won't even bother trying to decipher what really happened, but the tour is off. Agents have a tendency to lie a lot and constantly change what they come strong and sure at you with in the beginning as a proposal."
Het ziet er naar uit dat de groep voorlopig niet naar Europa komt. Fans in de VS hebben meer geluk: zo speelt Flotsam And Jetsam op 14 januari 2005 op het 'Goodyfest' in Phoenix, samen met Hatebreed en Agnostic Front.
